Best Game Music of 2009 :: Editorial by Staff and Contributors

It's time for Square Enix Music Online to celebrate the best original scores, arranged albums, and original albums of 2009. This year five of our staff members and contributors decided what their favourites were and explain their opinions in their write-ups. In addition, three of our staff members declare their favourite artists of 2009 and their outlook for 2010.

This year has seen many important releases. Original scores have included Dragon Quest IX, Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy Gaiden, Muramasa, and Bayonetta. Among the most significant arranged albums were Sanctuary, Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections, Chiptuned Rockman, PLAY! A Video Game Symphony Live!, and Cave's four releases.

Please note that this is intended to reflect the opinions of the individuals, not the masses. However, please feel free to offer your own input about your favourites in this poll and we will reveal the results a week later. Now let's see everyone's favourites:
