In the black pouring rain, I wander the night
My steps falling heavily with my injured frame
My loved ones snatched away and my dreams crushed
My beaten down heart's in an agony of pain
Where are the constellations to guide me?
The moon's light is vanishing off elsewhere
If I had wings to fly through the sky
I would abandon this darkness for the place where light pours
Spreading my wings of white, I fly from the darkness
As I escape the thick cloud, silver stardust fills the air
Leading the way to blue skies
Over the endless grounds the light of morning
Illuminates my way
Its warmth gratifying my heart
If I had wings to fly through the sky
I would abandon the darkness for hte place where light pours
In this world dazzling light cannot reach
All hopes have rotted away
I discard my wings, and fall to earth
In this world of darkness, only my footsteps remain |
