Site Information :: Contributor Recognition

Becoming a recognised contributor will mean you will be listed in our site contributors page and receive other benefits. In order to become a recognised contributor, you will need to either adopt a staff role, contribute a number of reviews or arrangements, or provide Japanese-English translations.

What You Receive

• A Contributor Page - You receive your own page linked to via the site contributors page and review / arrangement lists. This page allows you to write about yourself and will also provide a list of your contributions to the site.
• Forum Recognition - If you are a member of forum, you will be given special recognition with either a 'staff', 'reviewer', 'arranger', or 'translator' tag depending on what you contribute. It also allows faster searching and a larger PM inbox.
• An Email Address - You are welcome to your own squareenixmusic.com email address that you can log in to here. Driven by but distinct from Gmail's system, it provides 6GB of space and allows efficient searching, sorting, etc.
• Site Hosting - We our willing to provide a significant amount of webspace for you to host your own site or work. This is only available for consistent prolific contributors and we prefer you not to externally link to any media files.

Making Sufficient Contributions

• Staff Role - We are very happy to receive staff applications. We are looking for new staff journalists and reviewers. New staff are usually subject to a two month trial period, though will receive contributor recognition nevertheless.
• Review Submissions - It is expected that you submit two or more high-quality reviews exclusive to the site as a bare minimum. Those who contribute the bare minimum then never contribute again will be removed from the contributor list.
• Music Submissions - It is expected that you submit two or more high-quality arrangements exclusive to the site as a bare minimum. Those who contribute the bare minimum then never contribute again will be removed from the contributor list.
• Translation Assistance - Please email chris [at] squareenixmusic.com if you are interested in contributing Japanese-English translations to the site in roles such as translating lyrics or conducting interviews. Prolific translators will be eligible for a staff role.

Once you have exceeded the minimum requirements for contributor recognition, you should email chris [at] squareenixmusic.com for acceptance. Please provide the following details:

- Place of Residence
- Date Your Joined Site
- General Interests
- Favourite Game Music Artists
- Your Biography (Length Up To You)
