24 Oct 2012 - Silent Hill: Revelation 3D soundtrack release

On October 30, Lakeshore Records releases the soundtrack album for the upcoming Silent Hill: Revelation 3D movie. Like the score for the first Silent Hill film adaptation from 2006, the soundtrack is a collaboration between Silent Hill series composer Akira Yamaoka and Emmy-nominated film and TV composer Jeff Danna (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Resident Evil: Apocalypse). Whereas that earlier album consisted of Danna's arrangements of Yamaoka's music written for the games, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D will contain original material by Danna. According to Danna, the score will feature more musicality and orchestral elements to support the emotional arc of the characters in the film.
