05 Oct 2012 - Unusual New Projects for Hitoshi Sakimoto

This week, Hitoshi Sakimoto celebrated the 10th Anniversary of his music production company Basiscape. Coinciding with this, he has revealed his involvement in several new projects. Reuniting with designer Hironobu Sakaguchi, he provided the music for Mistwalker's newly released iOS defense game Blade Guardian. He and his employees also provided the sound and music for the downloadable 3DS title Denpa Ningen no RPG 2, a sequel to a popular game released last year (soundtrack reviewed here). Finally, he provided the music for Red Dragon, a collaborative fiction project based on tabletop RPG sessions. The official soundtrack for the title will be released on October 16.
