24 Sep 2012 - Set Listings for Symphony Hall ConcertOn October 7, the Video Game Orchestra will perform 'rockestral' adaptations of popular video game music at Boston's Symphony Hall. The concert will be performed by full orchestra and rock band, and will feature four special guests: Yoko Shimomura, Noriyuki Iwadare, Hitoshi Sakimoto, and Kinuyo Yamashita.The set listings span classics such as Street Fighter II, Chronos, and Castlevania through to modern favourites like God of War, Kingdom Hearts, and Snake Eater. Special items include a suite dedicated to Final Fantasy VII, an exclusive 15 minute arrangement of Grandia by Iwadare himself, and a medley featuring favourites from Sakimoto. In full, they are: Bombing Mission Street Fighter II God of War Baba Yetu Vampire Killer Kingdom Hearts Metal Gear Solid ~ Snake Eater Chrono Trigger ~ Chrono Cross Grandia Sakimoto Medley Final Fantasy VII Suite There is an ongoing but struggling Kickstarter campaign to make an album release featuring live recordings of a selection of these tracks.
