16 Dec 2011 - Kumi Tanioka Gains Major Post-Square Gig: Ragnarok Odyssey

It has been revealed that Crystal Chronicles series composer Kumi Tanioka has scored Ragnarok Odyssey. The recently revealed PlayStation Vita will combine the mythology of Ragnarok Online with monster slaying gameplay. Tanioka has stated that she will emphasise realism while complementing the game's stunning visuals and action-packed gameplay.

While Ragnarok Odyssey is her first major solo gig, Kumi Tanioka has in great demand since leaving Square Enix at the end of 2009. Among her activities are several scores for iPhone fairytale adaptations and arrangements for various tribute albums. Earlier this year, she talked to us about joining the music production company Ringmasters LLC.
