01 Feb 2009 - Sakimoto Leads FFTA Spinoff Crystal Defenders

Crystal Defenders

Hitoshi Sakimoto has confirmed that he headed the audio production for the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance spinoff title Crystal Defenders. The game was originally published as Crystal Guardians for mobile phones, but has just been released for WiiWare and will later be available on the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

The music for the game is reprises from the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance series composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, Ayako Saso, Kaori Ohkoshi, and Nobuo Uematsu. Though Sakimoto contributed no new compositions, he supervised his employees arrange his music for the title. Sakimoto's orchestrator Noriyuki Kamikura directed arrangers Yoshimi Kudo and Mitsuhiro Kaneda on the project.
