Well, it's taken a long while, but round 2 is finally upon us. From hereon, 2 themes will face each other every night. Enjoy the show, and don't forget to vote here (http://www.squareenixmusic.com/uematsu.php), and comment here. :)

I don't like "Dancing Mad," and since "Tyran Castle" isn't THAT bad, it'll get my vote.

Tchyeah, like that'll make any difference.

EDIT: whoa, 2x1 Tyran! Go, CT!

I like "Tyran Castle", it stood out to me in Chrono Trigger (along with "Underground Sewers") before I knew it was Uematsu, but "Dancing Mad" is far better in my opinion. The amazing fourth tier, along with the quite good other three sections, I have to give it the pass.

Dancing Mad is so getting my vote. There just IS no competition with that track.

<3 Tyran Castle

I have yet to vote for Dancing Mad, am I'm not going to start now. Tyran Castle is so much fun, with its rockin style.

Edit: Its tied! Does TC actually stand a chance here...

Everybody says Tyran here; but Dancing Mad leads the race! :)

I voted for DM.

Tyran is interesting harmonically...I like the rock feel with the long introduction, that Uematsu does so well - The Extreme comes to mind. The contrast between the rock sections and the little breakdowns is effective, in my opinion. And a great bassline!
Oooh I'm finding this quite hard!
I don't get on well with the synth voice sound in Dancing Mad - if you imagine people singing it it's somewhat like Nightwish downsampled...but the melody here is strong. There are some wonderful little organ toccatas strewn about it as well, and there's a lot of pleasant Bach influences, including a sequence lifted straight out of the Preludes, Toccatas and Fugues... But both these tracks are really original, I think, showing him at his creative best.

...still only half way through Dancing Mad...
...woah...ok, extreme dissonance at 12:01 and the drums are in! This is crazy...
Amazing cross-rhythms here...ah, you're getting a stream of consciousness now...ok, this is starting to get the better of the two simply by virtue of the amazingly epic nature of it...it's hyper now, it's like Marillion on acid (well, more acid)...
Ok, well that's amazing. I feel slightly unfair though, after all Dancing Mad has the advantage of Tyran by 11 minutes or so, and it's less one track and more a medley, or several movements. Oh what am I kidding, I guess I have to go for this one.

Good tracks though, I really enjoyed listening to and analysing them!

"Dancing Mad" gets my vote here. Too bad "Tyran Castle" has to go so early. It's one of my favourite tracks from Chrono Trigger.

"Tyran Castle" is a pretty good theme. It has an effective introduction and a great rocky main section. I wish that he did a bit more with the melody though. :) "Dancing Mad" however, is by far the better of the two. I don't need to explain why. It got my vote, anyhow.
