Methinks this is the final that isn't. Vote for your favourite of the two classics here (http://www.squareenixmusic.com/uematsu.php). One thing is guaranteed now in this contest: classic Nobuo Uematsu is victorious!
Well, I'm thinking about which track has the better chance of winning against the FFVI Ending Theme in the finals..... so my vote goes for Gilgamesh.

Chip tune all the way. Go go go Matoya!
(Although I'd be perfectly happy if Battle With Gilgamesh won this contest!)

Gilgamesh gets my vote, reminds me more of Uematsu's creativity of battle themes.

Gilgamesh, no doubt! Matoya just doesn't have the flair and energy, IMO, that Gilgamesh does.

Poor matoya it's good but it can't stand a chance against gilgamesh. Im actually quite suprised one of nobuos early works made it so far

Both tracks are the class of their respective soundtracks. I'm supporting Gilgamesh until the end, but huge props to Matoya for making it this far (more than that if it can pull this out).

I've been one of Matoya's biggest advocates throughout this competition, yet this is a very hard decision. Both are memorable, and both have catchy and charming melodies.
I can't think of any other way to vote aside from variety potential... that is to say, a lot more has been done with Matoya's Cavern over the years than with Battle with Gilgamesh, showing that Matoya's Cavern definitely has the more versatile melody, and is therefore, a better composition in my mind.

"Battle with Gilgamesh" has a melody, catchy percussion, and is extremely addictive. My vote goes for it.

While I like Gilgamesh more now than I did at the start of this competition, I still don't understand its appeal. To me, it's a very awesome battle theme, but by a ridiculously bouncy melody.
Matoya's Theme, on the other hand is classic, and while I don't know if it deserves to be in the finals, I'd still pick it over Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh. I love Matoya's Cave, but I love Gilgamesh even more!

Gilgamesh, without even a hint of hesitation.

Matoya. Refer to my last comment in the Semifinal 1 string. ;)
I'm going with Gilgs. Matoya is fantastic, but Gilgs has that certain je ne se quois (most likely mispelt) that Uematsu's best battle themes have.

Apologies for the delay. Again, Internet disaster.
Battle With Gilgamesh (FFV) 61.67 % (37)
Matoya's Cave (FFI NES) 38.33 % (23)
Total votes: 60
The final is coming right up. Farewell, Matoya. We loved you, but victory just wasn't meant to be.
