Before the crucial 5th round starts, I thought it'd be cool to have a lil thread dedicating to predicting the winner.

Chaos' Temple
Battle with Gilgamesh
Vamo' Alla Flamenco
F.F.VII Main Theme

Ending Theme (FFVI)

F.F.VII Main Theme - win right now! :)

I'm digging for "Matoya's Cave" personally. :p But I'd be happy if "Battle with Gilgamesh", "Dancing Mad", or "F.F.VII Main Theme".

Out of the eight left, I'd love to see "Chaos' Temple" and "You're Not Alone" die. Great themes, but in the top 8? No way!

Given the FFVI Ending Theme did so well in a much broader tournament, my money'd be on that one. However, I'd love to see it go down, so long as it's not by FFVII Main Theme.

However, I can almost gauruntee that those two'll end up in the final round together (either that or fate'll have it that one or both get knocked out just to continue the pattern of always proving me wrong, which'll make me just as happy anyways, so more power to fate.)

EDIT: Or of course, as the number continues to dwindle, the chance of the two clashing in the quarter finals or semi finals increases.

Let's see. Some of my early favorites were knocked out prematurely; however, a few remain. I'm banking on either Matoya's Cave, Battle with Gilgamesh, or Vamo 'alla Flamenco to take top honors. Preferably, Battle with Gilgamesh.

"Battle With Gilgamesh", and "Dancing Mad" are the only ones that should even go on. That is an opinion of course. Even though the original Main Theme isn't the best (I can't wait for an arrangement competition if it comes :p), it deserves to have one of the last four spots, compared to the remaining choices....

The only ones I'm bothered by are Vamo', which is a bit of an iffy entry. Then there's "You're Not Alone". Ick.

I'm personally hoping Matoya's Cave wins. Since this contest first began over on SS, I've been rooting for it to win due to its melody. Matoya's Cave just has an amazing melody, definatly in my top favorites.

I would be unhappy if Battle with Gilgamesh, Dancing Mad, or Ending Theme won.

I'd be happy with anything winning, except the FF7 Main Theme. But, I'm rooting for Gilgamesh.

I don't hate it. I just think, from a musical standpoint, several of the remaining themes are superior.

So. Slow. I don't really like the theme itself that much, and it takes about two minutes of harmonic soup (which we all know I'm not too fond of) to get to a melody.

I'd probably say "Vamo". It's at the very least my favourite of the remaining pieces (that or "Gilgamesh").

Matoya's cave sounds good, but Matoya herself bugs me.

I said it before, I'll keep saying it and I'll say it here: Uematsu's best material is his battle music. Gilgamesh is his greatest battle theme. Of the eight (soon to be seven) remaining, there isn't anything I would vote over Gilgamesh.

BUT...I think either FFVII Main Theme or FFVI Ending will win it all. I adore both Matoya and Chaos, but I'm surprised both have held on as long as they have. It'd be great to see either one pull the upset.

I'm rooting for Matoya's Cave and FFVI Ending. I never really liked the battle music in FF's too much. Maybe one or two songs, and I've really heard "Battle of Gilgamesh" wayyyy too many times x.x

I'm too lazy to check which of these are left or whatever, but my choices of the original posted are Battle with Gilgamesh, Vamo' Alla Flamenco, maybe Dancing Mad, and You're Not Alone. When it comes down to one, You're Not Alone, probably.
