FyW seems to offer alot more in terms of intrumental and progression. YnA, on the other hand, holds alot of nostalgia; and its simplisty really supports its strong melody....

I honestly have no idea which to vote for. I guess I'll wait a bit and see what others have to say before giving my vote away.

"Force Your Way" for today; it's enjoyable and fun, like a good battle theme should be. I don't listen to it and wonder 'When is this going to end?', unlike the other choice.

"You're Not Alone" drags on too long, and could've expressed itself in a shorter time.

I'm going to go with You're Not Alone, because of the emotion that the track gives. I still remember, the first time playing FFIX when that track came on, and I thought to myself 'that track fits incredibly well with what's going on with the gameplay.' I still think that's true :p

I've heard a lot of people say that You're Not Alone is bad because it's cheesy. Not sure what to think of that opinion, but I find it was totally appropriate for a (admittedly) cheesy scene, like Resk said, and boasts not just one great melody, but two!

"Force Your Way" is a great battle theme, but doesn't have quite the same memorability to me.

Force Your Way is a great battle tune, but lacks that somethin' somethin' that would make it one of Uematsu's top 8

Both pieces are great, and deserve to have made it this far. But "You're Not Alone" has a groove to it that makes a simple melody and chord progression stand out quite uncommonly. It gets my vote.

Interesting. After all the criticism that "You're Not Alone" has received, I'm amazed it's winning by quite a way. I wouldn't place it in my top 8 Uematsu themes myself, but definitely above "Force Your Way".

You're Not Alone is the one I would have pass this round. I'm not a real fan of it, but it's better in the long run than Force Your Way...

I decided to vote for You're Not Alone, a very powerful piece. Its a shame to see Force Your Way go, its quite an awsome battle tune.
