Round 4, Pairing 2: "Cid's Theme (FFVII)" vs. "Chaos' Temple (FFI PSX)"

As much as I hate to say it, I agree with Shroud. "Chaos' Temple" won't be getting a vote just to oust Cid's Theme from me. "Cid's Theme" is unfortunately the better piece here, and therefore gets my vote.

Two themes I'm more than familiar with. I've always regarded Cid's Theme as one of the high points towards the middle of the FF7 OST, but Chaos' Temple is a classy remake of one of the best NES RPG tracks put out (proven by both Ailsean and Preludio, who have managed to arrange it to near-perfection). On a personal level, I find the NES version to pack more of a punch, but this "update" is more than capable of standing on its' own (though it reminds me of Phantasy Star music more for some reason).

Sorry Cid.

I really like Choas' Temple, its a piece I've been loving since I first heard it in an eailer round. So it gets my vote. Down with Cid's Theme!!

I agree with Shroud and Locke here. Though "Cid's Theme" deserves culling after the last round, in my opinion, I feel "Chaos' Temple" is not a worthy opponent. That's not because its melody isn't great, but that this particular incarnation of the theme is one of its worst. I preferred the original, "Underwater Temple", and its orchestral arrangements by a long way.

I like both of these themes, but sdaly, I can only vote for one. "Cid's Theme" gets my vote, not because I love FFVII, but because "Cid" just out does "Chaos."
