These panel-voted officially recognised awards provide a thorough and wide-reaching recognition of achievement in game music over the last year. The portrayal of the desolate world of Nier by Keiichi Okabe's Monaca was both unique in its concept — with its focus on experimental vocal pieces rather than instrumental scores — and beautiful in its execution.
